Yelawolf : The Next Eminem from Southern America
Eminem is a well known as the most famous white rapper alive, but now Yellawolf, who also is white, has caught our attention as the next rising star amongst white rappers with his single called “Pop The Trunk”.
Born with the name Michael Wayne Atha, 30 December 1979, Yelawolf came from Gadsden, Alabama. As an avid skateboarder he made attempts at a professional skateboarding career but was forced to abandon it due to injuries.
Yelawolf began releasing mixtapes independently in 2007. He was briefly signed to Columbia Records in 2007 and in 2010, Yelawolf has now confirmed that he has signed with Interscope Records that holds Eminem as one of his artist.
As he is currently signed to Interscope Records. On July 2, 2010, Yelawolf stated that he went to Eminem’s Studio in Detroit, Michigan to meet him and record a track for Yelawolf’s upcoming debut studio album titled Trunk Muzik: 0-60 as his first project with a major label and set to be released at October 26 of the year under Ghet-O-Vision Entertainment/Interscope Records.
